A warm welcome to all of our Year 9 classmates, AAN teachers and parents. The purpose of this blog is to help us all increase our productivity in our workplace. Student of the Month (February)


George Kalfas of year 9 was awarded this morning as student of the month for his dedication to always do what is right.


Well done George keep up the goodwork.
  • Award to the school for our participation in the Telethon Radiomarathon.
The manager of the Laiki Bank visited our school today to give us an award for our participation in the Telethon Radiomarathon. Our Year 13 students

Along the same line, our attempt to raise money for the needy in Haiti has been very fruitful. Our school in cooperation with the other private schools in Nicosia organised a music event last Saturday and the money received from the entrance fee go to the needy in Haiti. All the schools together managed to collect around 7000 Euro. Well done to all involved.
  • PRODUCTIVITY PROJECT
March 1st-March 15th, the Increasing Productivity in Education project will be availabke on the internet. Please visit it regularly if not everyday to be updated on news that affeft your school life.

A letter was sent to parents of Year 9 students, last Friday to inform them about the project and ask them to commit themselves to visit the blog regularly during this trial period and be available to come back to us with comments on the effectiveness of the blog. The letter had to be signed and returned to the school Monday March 1st.


  • INTERNATIONAL DAY
Our school's greatest celebration is on again this year.
Where:   American Academy Nicosia
When:    March 13th
Time:     16.00 - 19:00
International Day will start with entertainment in the quadrangle at 4:00 pm. This will be followed with games and events for the students and food will be served at 5:30 to 7:00pm.

If you are interested in running a food stall, join others to run a stall or/and prepare food for your National Table please fill in the form that was sent home on Monday March 1st with the students and return to the school by Friday March 5th.
